And that's actually a good thing since most of the franchise's films tend to be pretty similar these days.Īnother blunder that many fans pointed out was the lackluster villain, Emil Blonsky, played by Tim Roth. It's definitely not as impressive as the CGI in Iron Man, even though they had a similar budget.Īnother reason why The Incredible Hulk got kind of ignored over time is because it stands out a lot compared to the other movies in the MCU. The CGI in the movie is decent overall, but there are some moments that feel like you're watching a video game cutscene. In contrast, the green smasher looked nothing like Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk, which was one of the reasons it got criticized. For Avengers, they actually used motion capture technology to make Hulk actually look like Mark Ruffalo. Not only did we get a different actor playing Bruce Banner in the MCU, Hulk himself looked entirely different when he next appeared in Avengers (2012). The recasting really threw some people off and got them questioning if this movie is even a part of the MCU. His performance as the troubled scientist was top-notch, but he eventually was replaced with Mark Ruffalo. He was a big name back then, certainly bigger than Robert Downey Jr. In The Incredible Hulk, Bruce Banner was portrayed by Edward Norton. Well, it is actually quite easy to forget this movie even existed, and there are some reasons for it. Many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe believe that The Incredible Hulk is a bit underrated. ![]()
